Robert Dean Uhe's Obituary
Robert Dean "Bob" Uhe, age 76, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 7:45 p.m. in Friendship Manor, Nashville, IL. Bob was born on March 1, 1930 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Charles I. "Bud" and Jane L. (Bird) Uhe. He married Lois I. Carson on June 24, 1950 in Pinckneyville, and she preceded him in death on August 19, 2003. He attended church at the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville. He was a member of the Saddle & Bridle Club of Sparta, the A.Q.H.A, worked as a farrier for over 40 years, was a horse enthusiast and an avid horseman. He was retired from Consolidation Coal Co. where he had worked as an equipment operator for 42 years. He was an exceptional athlete in high school, and a carpenter and craftsman all of his life. Survivors include one son: Randal Uhe of DuQuoin, one daughter: Judy and Rich Marquis of Waterloo, one brother: Charles Wilfred and Frankie Uhe of Greenville, TN, five sisters: Dorothy Smith of Pinckneyville, Carrie Millikin of Pinckneyville, Mary Uhe of St. Peters, MO, Betty Uhe of St. Peters, MO, and Jean and Jack Smith of Sparta, five grandchildren: Erin Joy Marquis, Paul Marquis, Mike Marquis, Kimberly Dawn Uhe, and Ryan Robert Uhe, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville on Monday, May 22, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Rick Hatley officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, DuQuoin, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and at the First Baptist Church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
