Robert L. "Mike" Peak's Obituary
Robert L. "Mike" Peak, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL died on November 4, 2010 at 10:16 p.m. at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. Robert was born in Herrin, IL on February 6, 1934 to Robert Alexander and Anna (Stiritz) Peak. He was raised by his grandparents, Sara and Alex Peak in Pinckneyville. IL. Robert Served in the US Army and received an honorable discharge in 1957. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Valerie H. (Edwards) Peak, two daughters, Carol A. Pack (Dan) of Boise, ID, and Kelly L Miller (Darin) of Pinckneyville, IL. Two grandchildren, Amber I. Pack of Boise ID, and Laci E. Harper of Pinckneyville, IL, and one sister Margaret Fricke. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and one sister Darlus Nordmeyer and one grandson Matthew D. Harper. Robert was a kind, generous, and loving man whose wisdom and wit will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Graveside services were held on November 12, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. at Washington State Veterans Cemetery located outside of Medical Lake, WA. Memorials may be made to the Union Gospel Mission in Spokane, WA.
