Robert J. Huff's Obituary
Robert J. "Bob" Huff, age 84, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 7:05 a.m. at his home. Bob was born on September 15, 1932 in Centralia, IL, a son to Aloys and Helen (Bowlds) Huff. On June 9, 1956, he married Judy Trapp in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Centralia, IL and she preceded him in death on October 26, 2013. Bob was owner of Pinckneyville Grain Elevator for over 30 years. He was a member St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL, the Knights of Columbus and past president of the Pinckneyville Rotary Club. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, loved to travel, and had refinished over three hundred antique trunks with his wife. He was a devoted father and husband. Survivors include a son, Michael (Stacy) Huff of Glastonbury, CT; a daughter, Angela (Al) Lickhart of Spirit Lake, IA; two brothers, Ray (Jane) Huff and Phil (Nancy) Huff; three sisters, Mary (Jack) Mann, Claire Schnake, Phyllis (Fred) Whitley; four grandchildren, Aaron (Jody) Lickhart of Roland, IA, Audrey (Andrew) Gagie of Dallas, TX and Sydney and Taylor Huff of Glastonbury, CT; three great-grandchildren, Ava Lickhart of Roland, IA, Adele Gagie of Dallas, TX and Aubrey Lickhart of Roland, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, Wilbur Huff, Carl Huff and Pat Huff; and one sister, Rose Smith. Funeral service will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Augustine Ibezimako officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Bruno School, Pinckneyville, IL.
