Robert Paul Hernandez's Obituary
Robert Paul Hernandez age 56 of Elkville, IL, formerly of Belleville, IL, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 9:05 a.m. in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Carbondale, IL. Robert was born on September 12, 1953 in Austin TX, a son to Thomas and Frieda (Asbury) Hernandez. On December 16, 1980 he married Julie Belfield and she survives. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy, was the owner of Century Home Improvement Co., Belleville, IL for 40 years and they shared the daily joys of Rainbow Day Care Home, Belleville, IL for the last 30 years where they cared for families as their own. Robert was one of the hardest working men that any person would ever meet. Bob will be dearly missed by all his family, friends and extended family. Robert is survived by his wife of 30 years, Julie Hernandez of Elkville, IL; four children, Robert Thomas Charles (Tawnalee) Hernandez of Elkville, IL, Leahann Danielle Sunshine Herdandez (fiancée: Robbie Hess) of Belleville, IL, Julie Marie Shirley Sue Ann Hernandez (fiancée: Donovan Trask) of Desoto, IL, Antione Hudson (Hernandez) (Annette) of Belleville, IL and Tara (Hernandez) Fray of Belleville, IL, Jamie (Hernandez) Hancock of North Carolina, Wendy Hudson of Cahokia, IL, Elizabeth (Beth) Venatta of Belleville, IL; two brothers, Jantas (J.R.) (Maria) Alan and Charles (Chuck) (Tammy) Belfield; six sisters, Tommie Hernandez, Mary Alice Almaguer, Maria (Cruz) (Almaguer) (Tim) Conroy, Peggy (Allen) Pagen, Susie (Allen) (Frank) Lopez, Diane (Allen) (Mark) Galvez, and Mary Jo (Larry) Alsup; eleven grandchildren, Darkwing Duck (Marco), Mickey (Micheala),Louie Duck (Delvin), Goofy (Thomas), Huey Duck (Julian), Disney, Minnie (Frieda), Jordan Vader, Daisy Duck (Saisha), Ducky (Donald), Lucyloo (Levieonna); dearly loved cousins, Josefa Saenz Rick and Ethan Harden, Terry and Freddie Gonzalez, Raymond Hernandez, Dillum and Jessica Hernandez, Henry and Sophie Hernandez, Richard and Wendy Hernandez and many, many, many nieces and nephews, and all of the others who lovingly call him dad or uncle you know who you are and he loved you. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Frieda Hernandez, Juanita Almaguer (Essary), and his in-laws,, Floyd and Shirley Belfield, two brothers, George Villegas, Jr., and Johnnie Allen; his son-in-law, Paul Ray Henley; godmother, Lucy and Juan Hernandez; Grandpa Joaquin and Grandma Josefa Hernandez. Robert's wishes were to be cremated and spread upon the family farm. Friends and family who would like to stop by the family farm in Elkville, IL and share some good times and memories would be greatly appreciated. Memorials may be made to the Hernandez Family.
