Rescheduled funeral service information: A funeral mass will be held in St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. with Father Augustine Ibezimako officiating. Interment will follow at St. Bruno Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Visitation will be at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The Rosary will be recited at 11:30 a.m.
Richard "Rick" W. Tegethoff, age 67, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in his home.
Rick was born on November 21, 1953 in St. Charles, MO, a son to Clem and Virginia (Loeffler) Tegethoff. On October 4, 1980, he married Jill Marie Klutenkamper in St. Peters Church, St. Charles, MO. He was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Rick had worked at Captain Mine for 18 years and then at Nascote Industries for 15 years. He also had worked at Pro-trim, Pinckneyville, IL for 14 years. He was a member of the U.M.W.A. and the Sons of the American Legion. Rick loved electronics, music, movies, especially Star Trek, and landscaping.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jill Tegethoff of Pinckneyville, IL; two sons, Eric Tegethoff of Carbondale, IL and Adam Tegethoff of Pinckneyville, IL; and a daughter, Amy (Franklin) Tegethoff-Woitel of Anchorage, AK.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
