Reca Lee Ramsey's Obituary
Reca Lee Ramsey, age 91, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 4:10 p.m. in Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville, IL. Reca Lee was born on June 27, 1922 in Fairfield, IL, a daughter to Clarence Edward and Mildred (McIver) Wilson. On August 8, 1941, she married Jim "Big Jim" Ramsey in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death on September 11, 1987. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL and the Sunshine Circle at the church. In her lifetime Reca Lee was a homemaker and had also worked as an assistant dietician at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL for 8 years, a desk clerk at the Pilgrim's Inn at Our Lady of the Snows, Belleville, IL and at Dodo's Drive-In Restaurant, Belleville, IL. She enjoyed working with ceramics and painting but her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Darlene (Clifford "Ron") Holloway of Pinckneyville, IL; two sons-in-law, Lloyd Wilson of St. Petersburg, FL and Frank Brazinski of Coulterville, IL; seven grandchildren, Michael (Trina) Wilson, Steve Wilson, Doug (Jenny) Wedeking, Scott (Shannon) Wedeking, Kristen (Curt) McMahon, Elizabeth (Scott) English and Michelle Luistro; ten great-grandchildren, Laura Pierce, Caitlyn Wedeking, Reise Wedeking, Andrew Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Bethany English, Brianna English, Alexia English, Camden Wedeking, and Maxium McMahon; two great-great-grandchildren, Ayden, Lilah and one great-great-granddaughter due in February of 2014; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, "Big Jim" Ramsey; two daughters, April Brazinski and LaDonna Wilson; a brother, Calvin Wilson; a sister, Millie Giacomo; and her special friends, Roberta Lambert and Ruth Ann Pabst. Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Jim Barnett officiating. A private family interment will held at Green Mount Cemetery, Belleville, IL. Friends may call at the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Heartland Hospice or the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of arrangements.
