Raymond A. Piotrowski's Obituary
Raymond A. Piotrowski, age 75, of Tamaroa,IL passed away on Friday, May 18, 2007 at 5:50 p.m. at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital Skilled Care Unit. He was born August 16, 1931 in Nashville, IL the son of Aloyious and Rose (Siadek) Piotrowski. During his lifetime he was employed at Schmacher Equipment in Pinckneyville, Willow Farm Dairy, McCook, IL and Electromotive in LaGrange, IL building deisel engines. He served in the U.S. Army in France. He was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2921. He enjoyed farming, hunting and will be sadly missed by his family and his Blue Healer, "Boots". Survivors include one brother, George and Frances Piotrowski of Tamaroa, two sisters, Florence and Joe Gill of Oakdale and Teresa Hopp of Pinckneyville, 9 nephews and 22 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Anton Bednarkewicz, John and Frank Piotrowski and 2 sisters, Marie (Bednarkewicz) Bauza and Bernice Kellerman. Funeral services will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Brian Barker officiating. Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Nashville, IL. Friends may call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Monday from 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. till 9:30 a.m. The Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
