Raymond "Bill" William Heisner's Obituary
Raymond (Bill) William Heisner, age 80, departed this life at Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL, on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 3:22 p.m., surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born to Raymond and Eutoala (Bathon) Heisner on November 23, 1943. On October 20, 1966, he married Connie Degenhardt at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todd's Mill, IL, and she survives. Bill enjoyed old tractors, gardening, and many other outdoor activities. He was fond of Polka music and loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Connie Heisner of Pinckneyville, IL; four children, Rick (Judy) Heisner, Lisa (Robert) Hepburn, Tammy (Adrian) Eisenhauer, and Joe (Sara) Heisner, all of Pinckneyville, IL; numerous grandchildren, Emily (Michael) Spence, Ryan (special friend KateLynn) Heisner, Hayden (special friend Emily) Hepburn, Haylee Hepburn, Hunter (Katlyn) Zoeckler, Dylan (Adrienne) Eisenhauer, Samantha (Kane) Runyon, Skylar Paige, Bailey (special friend Tyler) Heisner, and Cloe Heisner; several great-grandchildren, Brayden Spence, Gracie Spence, Casey Spence, Myles Eisenhauer, and Baby Zoeckler due in March; mother-in-law, Rose Degenhardt, who is 100 years old; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Barney Degenhardt, grandson Devon Ray Heisner; and his first wife and their infant son.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Todd's Mill, IL, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., with Monsignor Thomas Flach officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Cemetery, Todd's Mill, IL.
Visitation will be St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Todd's Mill, IL, on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
