Raylon Gene Percifull's Obituary
Raylon Gene Percifull, age 72, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 9:00 a.m., in his home, surrounded by his loving wife.
Gene was born on July 2, 1951 in Caraway, AR, a son to Mack and Bulah (Vinson) Percifull. Gene was united in holy matrimony to Barbara Elder on August 11, 1972, in Tamaroa, IL, and she survives. In his early years, he was employed at the oil fields in Oklahoma, which he loved to work at. Soon after he became a self-employed carpenter, which he loved even more and later retired from. He was well known for his hard work ethic and words of wisdom. Gene was an all-around caring and loving person. He loved spending his time with his family. Although he and his pain are gone, he will never be forgotten. His legacy will forever be cherished in the lives of his children.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Barbara Percifull of Coulterville, IL; two daughters, Keri Brand of Pinckneyville, IL, and Sheri (Bill) Phillips of Chester, IL; one son, Scotty Percifull of Sparta, IL; two sisters, Betty White and Nancy (Don) Percifull, all of Advance, MO; nine grandchildren, Khylee (Chris) Kurtz, Alec Burdel, Tristan Caby, Caleb Burdel, Austyn Phillips, Colyn Percifull, Ryley Brand, Carter and Chloe Percifull; and four great-grandchildren, Brajlin, Brynlee, Brohdee Kurtz, and Layne Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Ross Percifull, Jim Talbert Percifull, James Percifull, and Jimmy Lee Percifull; and three sisters, Ruby Overton, Dorothy Sabourin, and Virginia Brashier.
A graveside service will be held at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor James Clardy officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
