Ralph Max Wiggs' Obituary
Ralph "Max" Wiggs, age 78, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Monday, March 30, 2009 in Des Peres Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Max was born on July 21, 1930 in Lebanon, IN, a son to Ralph and Fern (Wright) Wiggs. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Signal Corps during the Korean War. On May 15, 1952, he married Beverly Sue Adair in Kirkland, IN and she survives. He retired after 33 years of service with Combined Insurance Company of America as a Regional Sales Manager and had recently worked with the Perry County Trans Van. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, was a avid fisherman who loved the lake and water and enjoyed fishing with his friends and buddies in Pinckneyville. Survivors include his wife: Beverly Wiggs of Pinckneyville, IL, three sons: Kyle (Joan) Wiggs of Tampa, FL, Shay Wiggs of Marion, IL, and Greg (Cynthia) Wiggs of Tampa, FL, two daughters: Debbie (Dennis) Werch of Ripon, WI, and Holly (Kirk) Dailey of Ashton, IL, six grandchildren: Brittany (Jeremy) Lussi, Morgan Werch, Ryan Werch, Clay Dailey, Alison (Tyran) Richardson, Jessica (Brian) Jones, and four great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Jonathan, Hayden, and Aubrey. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Wandalee Remsen. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL with Reverend Jim Barnett officiating. Friends may call at the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of arrangements.
