Phyllis Leona Chapman Heape Woodside, age 77, of Gallatin, TN, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL. Phyllis was a beautiful loving mother and grandmother, who passed away peacefully into God's arms on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 1:38 a.m. in Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing, Gallatin, TN. Phyllis was born on August 27, 1939 in McLean, IL, a daughter to Herman and Alphie (Adams) Chapman. She had been a hairdresser for many years. She loved her family. Survivors include her children, Phillip W. (Diane) Heape of Benton, IL, Douglas W. (Judy) Heape of Tamaroa, IL, Donna L. (Dale) Bridges of Porter, TX, Angela G. (Duke) Wright of Gallatin, TN; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Vera Bigham of Pinckneyville, IL, and 4 brothers, Donald (Louise) Chapman of Tamaroa, IL, Larry (Rosemary) Chapman of New Caney, TX, Richard Chapman of Golconda, IL, and Roger Chapman of New Caney, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Julia James; and grandson, Thomas Marlow. The family will be having a private memorial. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association
