Pauline LaVerne Willis' Obituary
Pauline LaVerne Willis, age 82, of Pinckneyville, passed away on July 13, 2007 in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital. Pauline was born on May 31, 1925 in Perry County, IL, a daughter to Ira and Myrtle (Hill) Jones. She married Wayne Willis and he precedes her in death. She retired from the Famous-Barr Company in St. Louis, MO after 20 years, and worked at the Wal-Mart in Belleville Carlye Plaza for three years. She was a member of the Concord Baptist Church, Rice, IL, and loved gardening. Survivors include one son: Larry Willis and wife Phyllis of Havana, IL, one daughter: Roberta Woosley of Rice, IL, three brothers: Jack and wife Sarah Faye Jones of Rice, Bob and wife Becky Jones of Belleville, IL and Ira "Rick" and wife Mary Jones of Pinckneyville, two sisters: Emma and husband Richard Magerkurth and Addie Mae Hubler both of Pinckneyville, four grandchildren: Noah Willis and wife Ashley of O'Fallon, IL, Rachel and husband Ryan Bieneman of Geneseo, IL, Stephen Woosley of Rice, and Paula and husband Kyle Newsome of Lebanon, IL, and four great-grandchildren Ava and Maya Bieneman, Courtney and Cambria Newsome. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, seven sisters and two grandsons Brain and Jacob Woolsey. Funeral services will be held at the Concord Baptist Church, Rice, IL, on Monday, July 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. William Spiller officiating. Interment will be in the Concord Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at Concord Baptist Church, Rice, on Monday from 10:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Church.
