Paul Dean Hill's Obituary
Paul Dean Hill, age 83, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 5:51 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL.
Paul was born on May 19, 1937 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Loren and Edna K. (Myers) Hill. On November 8, 1958, he married Nancy "Joy" Davis at the First Pentecostal Church, Pinckneyville, IL and she preceded him in death on August 11, 2012 after over 53 years of marriage. He was a founding member of New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL. Paul had worked as a meat cutter at Kroger, retiring at the age of 62 after 44 years. He was an antiquer, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved western movies and Louie L'Amour books.
Survivors include his two sons, Randy (Tammy) Hill of Canyon Lake, TX and Brad (Sharla) Hill of Ashley, IL; a daughter, Paula (Brian) Brewer of Pinckneyville, IL; three sisters, Ruth (Norman) Allen of Arizona, Marilyn (Danny) Kelly of Grand Junction, CO and Linda (Tony) Minnick of Florida; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, Melvin J. Hill, Maurice Hill and Don Hill; and a daughter-in-law, Whitney Hill.
Funeral service will be held at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor James Clardy officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Visitation will be at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday morning at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Due to health concerns related to the Covid-19, phase four attendance will be limited, social distancing will be enforced and attendees are asked to wear a mask.
