Patsy Sue Bruns' Obituary
Patsy Sue Bruns, age 77, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on October 5, 2020 at 11:46 a.m. in her residence.
Patsy was born on November 18, 1942 in Pinckneyville, IL, the daughter of Andrew and Bertha (Tanner) Egbert. She married Kenneth G. Mathis on November 25, 1960, whom she later divorced. She then married Jim Bruns on March 19, 1976, whom she later divorced.
She was a homemaker, caregiver and a marketing representative for the Phillip-Morris Corporation. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and cooking. She adored her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Joe (Kathy) Mathis of Tamaroa, IL, Joni Porter of Pinckneyville, IL, Terri (Ron) LaDow of Coulterville, IL and Michael (Robin) Mathis of Pinckneyville, IL; eleven grandchildren, Jenni Gunn, Jarrod Kellerman, Justin Kellerman, Hannah Porter, Ryan Mathis, Danielle Mathis, Olivia Mathis, Mike Mathis, Kyle Mathis, Katie Brammeier and Jackson Brand; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Allen (Donna) Davis; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Geraldine Rigdon, Maxine Chapman and Marilyn Hill; brother, Tommy Egbert; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating.
Due to health concerns related to the Covid-19, phase four attendance will be limited to 50 people, social distancing will be enforced and attendees are asked to wear a mask.
Friends may make memorials to the Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
