Patricia A. Fecho's Obituary
Patricia A. Fecho, age 91, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 4:18 a.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL.
Patricia was born on August 6, 1929 in Anderson, IL, a daughter to Robert Porter and Alice Madonna (Stricker) Dougan. On May 15, 1955, she married James Andrew Fecho in Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on October 23, 2017 after 62 years of marriage. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL where she enjoyed singing in the church choir. Patricia had worked as a secondary school teacher at Pinckneyville Community High School, Pinckneyville, IL. She was a member of the National Geography Society and Delta Theta Tau. She enjoyed reading, her dogs and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Katherine Fecho of Pinckneyville, IL; her son, Robert (Claudia) Fecho of Carol Stream, IL; her brother, Alec Singer of Pinckneyville, IL; two granddaughters, Lauren Fecho and Lilly Fecho; six nieces and nephews, Lindy (Todd) Rushing of Pinckneyville, IL, Tracy (Gary) Dunn of Lexington, KY, Melody (Patrick) Clemmons of Highland, IL, Cindy (Rick) Schallert of St. Louis, MO, Janet Ruzum of Highland, IL, and David (Beth) Weiman of Nashville, TN; and three great-nephews, Bobby Rushing and Ryan Rushing, both of Nashville, TN, and Donnie Schallert of St. Louis, MO., also her best friend of eighty years, Alberta "Bertie" McDaniels.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Nellie (Morrison) Fecho; husband, James "Jim" Fecho; two sisters, Katherine Nelson and Nancy Wieman; and two brothers-in-law, George Fecho, Jr. and Dick Nelson.
Burial of her cremains will be at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery, St. Louis, MO on a later date.
Covid resurgence restrictions will be adhered to, attendance will be limited and social distancing will be enforced. All attendees are asked to wear a mask.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
