Pat Hastings' Obituary
Pat Hastings, age 71, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away at her residence on Saturday, September 1, 2007. Pat was born August 29, 1936 in Williamson County, IL to Barnie and Evelyn (Holmes) Parks. On November 16, 1952 she married Robert Hastings in Williamson County, Illinois. Pat was the former owner of Pat's Flowers and Gifts, Pinckneyville. Her hobbies included watching Cardinal baseball, reading, traveling to Southern Texas for the winter months, and she was a dedicated Pinckneyville Panther Basketball fan. Pat was a member of Arnold View Freewill Baptist Church and the Crusader's Sunday School Class in Creal Springs, IL. Survivors include her husband Bob of Pinckneyville, and during their marriage they had three children: Carman Kabala, now of Las Vegas, NV, Tricia Lewis and her husband Steve of Tamaroa, and Alan Hastings and his wife Judie of Pinckneyville. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Jennifer (Lewis) Norris and her husband Travis of Hueytown, AL, Brian Lewis of Seattle, WA, Michelle (Hastings) Mohr and her husband Jason of Pinckneyville, Cory Hastings of Pinckneyville, Ryan Shirck of Las Vegas, NV, and Christina Bennion of Las Vegas, and five great-grandchildren: Kyle, Justin and Kayla Norris, and Celsey and Caleb Bennion. Other survivors include one sister: Alice McKinney and her husband Bob of Marion, one brother: Jug Parks and his wife Arlene of Crab Orchard, her mother-in-law: Jewell Hastings, now of Nashville, IL, several nieces and nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, and one granddaughter. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Funeral service will be held at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Ivan Ryan officiating. Interment will follow in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Arnold View Church, Creal Springs, IL.
