Ornell Ralph Stolz's Obituary
Ornell Ralph "Nellie" Stolz, age 87, of rural Coulterville, passed away on Wednesday morning at 1:05 a.m. in Friendship Manor, Nashville, IL. Ornell was born on April 21, 1919 in Tilden, IL, a son to Ralph and Nina (McCauley) Stolz. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II stationed in Hawaii. He married Irma O. Schwartzkopf on February 15, 1941 in Perryville, MO and she survives. Ornell was a mason with Peabody Coal Company, a farmer, and after retiring he worked on sewing machines and clocks. In his lifetime, he was a member of the Tilden Presbyterian Church, VFW Post #10641, American Legion Post #0172 of Marissa, and the U.M.W.A. He enjoyed dancing and coon hunting, and loved gardening and yardwork. Survivors include his wife: Irma of Coulterville, several brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Coulterville on Friday, August 18, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Dennis Hamilton officiating. Interment will be in Coulterville City Cemtery. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Coulteville on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial donations may be made to Tilden Presbyterian Church or Friendship Manor, Nashville.
