Ordith Earl McCauley's Obituary
Ordith "MAC" McCauley, age 84, of Edinburg, TX, died on Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Comfort House in McAllen, TX. He was born on January 12, 1923 in Tilden, IL to Hugh Earl and Leona (Frieman) McCauley. He married Pauline Viglini on March 5, 1948 and she survives. He worked at Coulterville Equipment Company for 20 years and then he moved to Texas where he managed a motel and later, the Port O'Connor Lumber Company. Through the years, he loved to hunt and fish, as well as to play pinochle and marble games, and he enjoyed taking care of his tomato plants and flowers. Survivors include his wife: Pauline, one daughter: Kathy and husband Ed Kinsey of Manvel, TX, three sons: Earl and wife Danitza McCauley of Houston, TX, Gary and wife Paula McCauley of Port O'Connor, TX, and Noral McCauley of Port O'Connor, TX, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister: Betty Ervin of Sparta, IL, one sister-in-law: Leta Green of Coulterville, IL, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son: Michael Paul McCauley, one great-granddaughter, and one brother: Noral McCauley. By his wishes, Mr. McCauley was cremated. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Coulterville Cemetery with Ron Mazander officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice or to the Comfort House, 617 Dallas Ave, McAllen, TX 78501.
