Norman "Rocky" Clopton's Obituary
Norman "Rocky" Clopton, age 61, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 12:07 a.m. in South East Hospital, Cape Girardeau, MO.
Norman was born on April 30, 1960 in Austin, TX, a son to Norman Richard and Georgia Irene (McCown) Clopton. He married Carmen Marie Ocasio and of this union came two children. She preceded him in death on January 31, 2008. Later, he was engaged to Michelle Lynn Martin, who preceded him in death on July 12, 2015. Norman loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, fishing and fixing things. He was a handy man.
Survivors include his two children, Hannah Hamilton and William Clopton; two grandchildren, Aleena Hamilton and Gauge Martin; four sisters, Brenda Miles of Hamilton, TX, LaNell Yvonne "Nicki" (A.J.) Sewell of San Saba, TX, Kathy Elaine Buster of San Saba, Tx, and Juanita M. Sewell; and several nieces and nephews. .
He was preceded in death by his parents; his ex-wife, Carmen Ocasio; fiancée, Michelle Lynn Martin and two brothers, Richard Wayne Clopton and Ira Jessie Clopton.
A memorial service will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to America Parkinson Disease Association or The family.
