Norma Hutchings Dunn's Obituary
Norma H. Dunn, age 93, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 2:25 a.m. in Sparta Community Hospital, Sparta, IL. Norma was born on December 19, 1915, in Rice, IL, a daughter to James and Inez (Hutchings) Dempsey. She married Marion Dunn on September 22, 1940 in her parents' home in Rice, IL and he preceded her in death on April 26, 1984. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pinckneyville, IL, taught Sunday school for many years, was part of the church out-reach program and was a "Bible Scholar". She is survived by one son: John A. (Donna) Dunn of Chester, IL, one daughter: Carole (Ross) Zeidler of Pinckneyville, IL, five grandchildren: John (Sabrina) Zeidler of Evansville, IN, Timothy (Dana) Zeidler of Pinckneyville, IL, David (Tracy) Zeidler of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Andrea (Rick) Chandler of Jacob, IL and Tiffany Dunn of Nashville, TN, six great-grandchildren, two brothers: Paul (Doris) Dempsey of Effingham, IL, and Warren K. "Junie" (Ramona) Dempsey of Perry, OH, one sister: Edith Lively of Villa Grove, IL and one sister-in-law: Betty Dunn of Pinckneyville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Urban and Robert Dempsey, and three sisters: Floy Blair, Ellice Shockley and Mae Guenther. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, January 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Tim Bauersachs and Reverend Charles Boling officiating, Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. and then at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL.
