Nobue "Yo Yo" Purcell's Obituary
Nobue "Yo Yo" Purcell, age 77, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014 in her home. Yo Yo was born on October 30, 1936 in Fuji Nomiya, Japan, a daughter to Masao and Asa (Suzuki) Tsutsui. On December 9, 1955, she married George T. Purcell in Tokyo, Japan and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2003. Yo Yo worked for Lamczik Processing, DuQuoin, IL for about 30 years. She dearly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include, her son, George (Darrie) Purcell of DuQuoin, IL; two daughters, Lyla (Bruce) Queen of Cabot, AR and Sherry (Shannon) Raines of DuQuoin, IL; seven grandchildren, Thomas Queen, Erica (Keith) Harris, James (Kelly) Queen, Amy (Luke) Lay, Duree (Ben) Camp, Nicolas Queen and George T. Purcell II; one step-grandchild, Shiann Raines; and two great-grandchildren, Carli Harris and Ethan Harris She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and three brothers. A memorial service will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Jackie Davison and Pastor Danny Wisely officiating. Interment will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, DuQuoin, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Tamaroa Independent Pentecostal Church, Tamaroa, IL.
