Noah Wayne Carter's Obituary
Noah Wayne Carter, age 77, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 7:15 a.m. in his home. Noah was born on November 24, 1937 in DuQuoin, IL, a son to Ralph Wayne and Georgia Catherine (Youngman) Carter. On September 21, 1956, he married Charlotte Poiter in DuQuoin, IL and she survives. Noah was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL, worked as a coal miner and was a member of U.M.W.A. He also sold and repaired golf carts. He enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, golfing and especially spending time with his family, Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Carter; three daughters, Cindy (Aaron) Konkel, Kathy (Roger) Hagene and Karen (Shane) Winter; one son, Aaron (Karen) Carter, all of Pinckneyville, IL; eleven grandchildren, Kevin Schrader, Natalie Stine, Nathan Hagene, Brooke Burroughs, Jared Hagene, Josh Hagene, Lyle Winter, Lauren Winter, Lindsey Winter, Lucas Carter and Noah Carter; six great-grandsons and one sister, Janet Baize of Herrin, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Metcalf and Betty McSpadden; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Rose Poiter and one son-in-law, Randy Schrader. A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Jim Barnett officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association. Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
