Nellie I. Klump, age 78, of Elkville, IL, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 2:08 a.m. in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation, Pinckneyville, IL Nellie was born on September 14, 1937 in DeSoto, IL, a daughter to Virgil and Beulah (Hood) Williams. On September 14, 1955, she married Lloyd Cox in DeSoto, IL and he preceded her in death on February 12, 1960. She then married Lloyd "Ray" Klump on May 19, 1967 at the Old DuQuoin Baptist Church, Old DuQuoin, IL and he preceded her in death on September 21, 2011. Nellie was a member of Elkville Christian Church, Elkville, IL, was a cook for many years at Elkville Grade School, loved to dance and visit with her neighbors. Survivors include; one son, Lloyd Cox (Linda Smith) of Ava, IL; three daughters, Becky (Gordon) Burroughs of Elkville, IL, Beverley (Mark) Ward of DuQuoin, IL and Rhonda (Leroy) Walker of Murphysboro, IL; one stepson, Larry (Debbie) Klump of Murphysboro, IL; one step-daughter, Brenda (Steve) Warren of Herrin, IL; fourteen grandchildren, Raymond (Laura) Klump, Betty (Daryn) Roberts, Jeri (Chris) Shaw, Andy (Brooke) Burroughs, Tyler Burroughs, Jessica Walker, Jason (Jamie) Walker, Justin Walker, Robin (Chris) Crabtree, Josh Cox, Cortney Cox, Brittany Ward, Brooke Ward and Cindy James; nineteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Francis "Dean " Blake, Odessa, TX and close friends, Judy Batteau, Bobbie Cobin, Helen Perryman and Ruth Tripp. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands and one sister in infancy, Linda Williams. Funeral services will be held at Elkville Christian Church, Elkville, IL on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Gary Pruitt officiating. Interment will be in Tower Grove Cemetery, Murphysboro, IL, Friends may call at Elkville Christian Church, Elkville, IL on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Elkville Christian Church Building Fund. Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
