Nedra Esther Lacy's Obituary
Nedra Esther Lacy, age 92, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 2:15 p.m., in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pinckneyville, IL.
Nedra was born on February 26, 1929 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Phillip and Verna (Keller) Williamson. On January 18, 1946, she married Harry J. Lacy in Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1974. She later married Joe Gieser who also preceded her in death on May 20, 2007. She had worked as a homemaker and was a great seamstress and cook that could make especially good doughnuts. Nedra was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL. She enjoyed reading the bible and old western love stories, mowing her yard, shopping for clothes and shoes, and watching Gunsmoke and old movies like Gone With The Wind. Nedra was very social and loved being around and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her one son, Olin (Colleen) Lacy of Tamaroa, IL; two daughters, Gayle (Fred) Hubler of Columbia, IL, and Sylvia (Sam) Fulk of Pinckneyville, IL; seven grandchildren, Joshua Hubler, Brian Hubler, Stephanie Fulk-Bullar, James Fulk, Gregory Fulk, Brittany Lacy, and Jacob Lacy; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Harry J. Lacy; second husband, Joe Gieser; and three sisters, Ethel Bigham, Delores Bass, and Ruth Bird.
Graveside services will be held at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., with Brother Raymond Baggott officiating.
Visitation will be at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Covid-19 mandates will be adhered to.
