Nancy "Nan" Presswood's Obituary
Nancy "Nan" Presswood, age 64, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 at 11:10 p.m. in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy was born on July 7, 1958 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Mervin and Ada Oralene (Bardle) Moody. On November 19, 1982 she married Thomas Presswood at St. Paul United church of Christ in Pinckneyville, IL and he survives. Nancy had worked as a CNA for Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL for forty plus years. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, taking care of people, cooking, baking, and spending time with family.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-nine years, Thomas Presswood of Pinckneyville, IL; four sons, Eric (Billie Jo) Presswood of Park Hills, MO, Justin (Dana) Moody of Pinckneyville, IL, Kevin (Jennifer) Presswood of Millport, AL, and Craig Presswood of Murfreesboro, TN; one daughter, Kiela (Brandon) Vuichard of Pinckneyville, IL; thirteen grandchildren, Payton Presswood, Cole Presswood, Katerina Moody, Alexandria (Brian) Evinger, Dani Moody, Dan Eliseo, Remmy Sullivan, Gunner Presswood, Zachary Presswood, Sierra Presswood, Garret Vuichard, Levi Vuichard, and Zoe Vuichard; one great-grandson, Uriah Steiner; two brothers, Steven (Carol) Moody of Pinckneyville, IL, and Eugene (Bridget) Moody of Pinckneyville, IL; countless friends so close they should be family; several nieces and nephews; and her loving pet, Eb.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a close aunt, Fada Darlene Jones; and a special cat, Buddy.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Jeff Downard officiating. Interment will be at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, From 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
