Minor A. Craig's Obituary
Minor A. Craig, age 68, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 12:00 a.m. in his home. Minor was born on February 18, 1947 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Minor A. "Dusty" and Lola (Denman) Craig, Sr. On May 1, 1971, he married Marilyn Poe in Pinckneyville, IL and she survives. Minor was a member of the First Pentecostal Church, Pinckneyville, IL. He was a retired coal miner and had worked previously for M.C.A., Pinckneyville, IL, Freeman Coal #11, Fabick, Knight Hawk Coal, Operating Engineers Local #520 and was a chimney sweep for several years. Minor was a member of Ducks Unlimited, and Perry County Right to Life. He was an avid hunter and loved fishing, snow skiing and riding his Harley. Minor was dedicated to his family and dearly loved his wife, children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Craig of Pinckneyville, IL; three sons, Derek (Aarah) Craig of Wildwood, MO, Dustin (Joy) Craig of Herrin, IL and David (Emily) Craig of Pensacola, FL; four grandchildren, Raegan, McKenzie, Hudson and Delaney; one brother, Kenton (Kimberly) Craig of Swanwick, IL and one sister, Marsha (Rick) Kuhnert of Pinckneyville, IL and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sharon in infancy and one sister, Vonda Marie Craig. Funeral services will be held at the First Pentecostal Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend J. Mark Harris, Sr,. Reverend Tim McIntyre and Reverend Duane Bolinger officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the First Pentecostal Church from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
