Minerva Ann Ruppert's Obituary
Minerva Ann Ruppert, age 90, of Coulterville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 6:55 a.m. in Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon, IL. Minerva was born on June 22, 1924 in Tilden, IL, a daughter to Walter Dean and Gertrude (Heinike) Robb. On June 10, 1941, she married Frank Pete Ruppert in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Todds Mill, IL and he preceded her in death on August 31, 2011. She was a current member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL, was a charter member of St. Mary Magdalen 1760 Catholic Daughters, a member of Perry County H.E.A., Shamrock Quilting Club and Mama's Relatives Quilting Club. Minerva worked alongside her husband on the family farm for many years, was an avid pinochle player, enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family. Survivor include six children, Lonnie Dale (Melinda) Ruppert, Coulterville, IL, Rebecca (Paul) Kenner of Sarasota, FL, Daniel Dean (Belinda) Ruppert of Coulterville, IL, Frank J. (Connie) Ruppert of Coulterville, IL, Mary Susan Ruppert- Stroescu (Bogdan) of Stillwater, OK and Kathleen (Bryan) Sprehe of Coulterville, IL; twenty-two grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren with three on the way; three sisters-in-law, Rose Hamilton of Godfrey, IL, Gertrude Ruppert and Shirley Ruppert both of Pinckneyville, IL and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Frances Ann McKinstry; one grandson, Brian Dale Ruppert and two brothers, James Henry Robb and Paul Clayton Robb. Funeral services will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Augustine Ibezimako officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Bruno Catholic School or masses.
