Milton "Mick" Rheinecker's Obituary
Milton J. "Mick" Rheinecker, age 87, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at 8:10 p.m. in Friendship Manor Nursing Home, Nashville, IL. Mick was born on November 29, 1921 in Jamestown, IL a son to August and Anna (Brand) Rheinecker. He married Bessie Bigham on June 28, 1952 at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL and she preceded him in death on April 15, 2003. Mick was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL, a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during WW II in the Pacific Theater, he worked for the United States Postal Service and then as a coal miner for Consol #3 and #5. He was a member of the UMWA, was a founding member of the Moose Lodge in Pinckneyville, was very involved with the local Khoury League and was one of Pinckneyville Khoury League founding members. He is survived by two sons: Bruce (Michele) Rheinecker and Terry (Melissa) Rheinecker all of Pinckneyville, IL, one daughter: Erna (David) Barczewski of Pinckneyville, IL, seven grandchildren: Derek (Janna) Pollock, Lynn Beth Rheinecker, Jane Ann Rheinecker, Leslie Rheinecker, Zachary Rheinecker, Adam Barczewski and Megan Barczewski, two brother-in-laws: Wayne (Charlene) Bigham of DuQuoin, IL and Eldon (Gloria) Bigham of Glen Carbon, IL, and two sisters-in-law: Mildred Rheinecker of Pinckneyville, IL and Cleo Rheinecker of Desoto, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Bessie Rheinecker and three brothers: William, Eugene and Wayne Rheinecker and one sister: Marie Strickland. Funeral services will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment will be in St. Bruno Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to P.C.H.S. Athletic Fund / Baseball program or St. Bruno School, Pinckneyville, IL.
