Mildred Ruth Nehrkorn's Obituary
Mildred Ruth Nehrkorn, age 93, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 1:55 p.m. in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pinckneyville, IL.
Mildred was born on May 7, 1929 in Perry County, IL, a daughter to Phillip and Dotha (Queen) Margenthaler. On February 26, 1947 she married Robert Dale Nehrkorn in Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on October 12, 2003. Mildred was a seamstress for Country Set, DuQuoin, IL and a cook. She was a member of Roe's Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL and enjoyed baking pies and cakes, traveling, quilting, cross stitching, picnicking, spending time with her family and her church family.
Survivors include one son, Douglas (Sue) Nehrkorn of Pinckneyville, IL; one daughter, Donna (Roger) Hayes of Kevil, KY; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Stephanie) Hayes, Jared (Kandi) Hayes, Sarah (John) Wilson, Carolyn (Gary) Gaudio, Gregory Nehrkorn, Dustin (Jill) Nehrkorn, and Cassidy (Todd) Carnes; twelve great-grandchildren, Austin, Emily, Hope, Augustus, Conner, Dominic, Murphy, Isaac, Charlee, Bryson, Kylee, and Oliver; five great-great- grandchildren, Carter, Sophia, Cole, Raylee, and Jude; and one brother, Richard (Dixie) Margenthaler of Pinckneyville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Dennis (Patricia) Nehrkorn; four brothers, Creal Margenthaler, Walter Margenthaler, Lawrence Margenthaler, and Raymond Margenthaler; and one sister, Betty Kelly.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, October 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Jared Hayes officiating. Interment will be held in Campbell Cemetery, Tamaroa, IL.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Campbell Cemetery, Tamaroa, IL.
