Mildred M. McQuaid's Obituary
Mildred Marie McQuaid, age 88, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 3:00 a.m. in Southwest Memorial Hospital, Fort Myers, FL. Mildred was born on December 30, 1918 in Tamaroa, IL, a daughter to Henry and Elizabeth (Lynch) Kothe. She married Howard Lyle McQuaid on March 23, 1940 in Perryville, MO and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1967. She was a retired packer from Hollywood Candy Company, Centralia, IL, was of the Methodist faith and loved the outdoors. Survivors include five sons: Lewis Lyle McQuaid of Nashville, TN, Vernon Henry McQuaid of the Phillipines, Calvin Clyde McQuaid of Beckley, WV, Charles Howard McQuaid of Fort Myers, FL, and James Earl McQuaid of New Minden, IL, two daughters: Brenda Sanders of Mount Vernon, IL, and Georgia Stearns of Jackson, MO, eighteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister: Helen Marlow, and one brother: Charles Kothe. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Campbell Cemetery, Pinckneyville with Rev. James Barnett officiating. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Campbell Cemetery Association.
