Mildred Bernice Hanock's Obituary
Mildred Bernice Hanock, age 91, of Fenton, MO, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on January 28, 2014 at 12:25 p.m. in Big River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Hill, MO. Mildred was born on May 13, 1922 in Glasgow, MO, a daughter to Arthur Henry and Maude Nancy (Phillips) Caldwell. On September 6, 1941, she married Edgar Morton Hanock in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2006 after 64 years of marriage. Mildred was a homemaker and a charter member of the Friedens Chapel United Church of Christ, St. Louis, MO and transferred to St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL and then to St. Martin United Church of Christ, High Ridge, MO. She was a past president of the Senior Citizens, Pinckneyville, IL, past vice-president of the Women's Guild, Pinckneyville, IL, had served as superintendent of the Board of Christian Education, and was a Sunday school teacher for well over 50 years. Survivors include her three sons, Robert E. (Jackie) Hanock of Colorado Springs, CO, Donald M. (Carol) Hanock of House Springs, MO and David A. (Cheryl) Hanock of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four brothers. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, February 1 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Cindy Bean officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Rd., St. Louis, MO on Friday, January 31 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ Board of Christian Education. Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of arrangements.
