Michael R. Coyne's Obituary
Michael R. Coyne, age 77, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 2:45 a.m., in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL.
Michael was born on November 8, 1944 in Geneva, IL, a son to Raymond E. and Ruth E. (Kight) Coyne. On January 13, 1964, he married Margaret "Peggy" Schramer at St. Mary's Church in West Chicago, IL and she survives him. From 1963 until 1967 he honorably served his country in the United States Airforce during Vietnam. He started working for North Western Railroad and then for Union Pacific Railroad in Chicago for 44 years. Michael was of the nondenominational faith. He was a life member of the West Chicago V.F.W. post #6791. Michael was also a life member in the Gold Wing Touring Association and then the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Chapter Q. Michael and Peggy rode throughout the entire continental United States and southern Canada together camping along the way. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Michael loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was known for his jokes and stories as well as being the proudest papa in the world.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years; two daughters, Sarah (Tim R.) Simpson of Pinckneyville, IL, and Michele Page (William R.) Kucmoud of Edgewater, FL; one sister, Penelope Hook of Cole City, IL; one son-in-law, William L. (Joy) Page Jr. of South Elgin, IL; four grandchild, Michael W. Page of Sycamore, IL, Amber (Jeff) Page Myers of Cortland, IL, Amanda Kucmoud of Edgewater, FL, and Rory Page of South Elgin, IL; six great grandchildren, Maddyson Faith Myers, Aiden William Page, Weston K. Page, Amelia, Jeffrey Allen Myers and Latham J. Page; one cat, Baby, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Raymond E. Coyne III.
It was Michael's wishes to be cremated, the family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
