Maxine Martin's Obituary
Maxine L. Martin, age 80, of Perryville, MO, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 3:13 p.m. in Memorial Hospital, Chester, IL. Maxine was born on August 24, 1935 in Prairie du Rocher, IL, a daughter to Emil and Marguerite (Allard) Siegfried. On December 27, 1954, she married George Joseph Martin in Chester, IL and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2015. Maxine was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL. She also owned her own ceramic shop. Survivors include her son, Tim (Laurie) Martin of Perryville, MO; one son-in-law, Pete Graham of Kansas City, MO; two grandchildren, Shannon Martin and Brandon Martin; three sisters, Janet (John) Schroeder of Rockwood, IL, Margo Asselmeier of Chester, IL and Kay (Jack) Bivins of Sparta, IL; one sister-in- law, Vera Siegfried. She raised Jim Bruns and Jim had two children Todd and Kevin,and she raised Marilynn Fenoli and Marilynn had three children, Chris, Tony and Jackie. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Martin; one daughter, Kimberly Graham; one grandson, Abraham Martin; one brother, Larry Siegfried; one sister, Carol Fortner; and one brother-in-law, Jerry Fortner. Memorial services will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the family. Pyatt Funeral Home Pinckneyville, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
