Mary A. Morgenthaler's Obituary
Mary A. Morgenthaler, age 93, of Pinckneyville, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at 4:20 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital Skilled Care Unit. Mary was born on October 9, 1912 in St. Louis, MO, a daughter to Edward L.H. and Margaret K. (Bills) Brueggemann. She was united in marriage to John Creal Morgenthaler on April 10, 1935 in Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1965. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville where she was a former Sunday School teacher. In her lifetime, she worked as a seamstress at the Pinckneyville Garment Company for 35 years and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Survivors include one daughter: Shirley Krug Fulton of Pinckneyville, one son: John Morgenthaler and wife Patti of Coulterville, one daughter-in-law: Pam Morgenthaler of Coulterville, nine grandchildren: Kim Sroka, Lynn Wyciskalla, Kirk Krug, Laura Sronce, Tina Morgenthaler, Sue Todaro, Chad Morgenthaler, Brad Morgenthaler, and Jessica Buch, two step-granddaughters: Jill Fox and Sara Nowakowski, sixteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, one sister: Margaret Johnson of Dallas, TX, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son: Larry Morgenthaler, one son-in-law: Paul Fulton, and two brothers: Edward and Raymond Brueggemann. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Cynthia Bean and Brother Tim McIntyre officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. then at the church from 11:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Pinckneyville Community Hospital Nursing Scholarship Fund.
