Mary Martha Marlow's Obituary
Mary Martha (Sutliff) Marlow - born December 6, 1927. Daughter of Barney Eugene, Sr. and Ora May (Haggard) Sutliff in Pinckneyville, Illinois. She died in her home in Farmington, AR on February 4, 2019 at 12:15 a.m. surrounded by her daughter and 4 granddaughters.
She married Billy June Marlow on June 22, 1946 and had 3 children together. They later divorced.
As a young girl, she would tap dance and dance on roller skates. In her later years, she enjoyed playing the piano, singing and hearing her daughters and granddaughters sing as she played.
With a love for cooking, Mary knew her way around a kitchen very well and would never let anyone leave hungry. She had a true servant's heart. Her love for the Lord and love for her family was strong. Most of those close to her knew her as Honey - because she was just as sweet. She would crochet often, and enjoyed making "Honey hats" that she would give out as gifts to family, friends and the community.
For the majority of her life she lived in Pinckneyville, IL having been an active member of the First Baptist Church of Pinckneyville, IL until late in life when she went to live in Farmington, AR with family. Mary Martha then become a member of City Point Church of Fayetteville, AR where she is fondly known as their Matriarch because of her amazing Faith in the Lord and selfless love for others. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Nile and the Eastern Star.
Mary Martha was preceded in death by her parents; an older brother, Barney Eugene Sutliff, Jr; and 1 daughter , Mary Alice Morgenthaler.
She is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Suzanne Keller and a son, Leslie Eugene (Bobbie Jo) Marlow; a son-in-law, Clyde Dean "Bud" Morgenthaler; 6 grandchildren, Marlow Leanne (Jason) Foshe, Adam Leslie (Amy) Marlow, Beau Neal (Whitney) Marlow, Mary Elizabeth "Libby" (Benjamin) Bier, Melinda Ann (James), Dennis and Martha May "Marti" Keller; and 12 great-grandchildren, Landon and Malea Foshe, Liam and Evan Higgins; Charlie Marlow, Wesley, Gavin and Mitchell Bier, Dylan Keller, Zachary Pierson, Eli and Kylee Dennis; a niece, Kay Marie (Walter) Shultz and a nephew, Stephen Pat (Cindy) Sutliff; along with several additional family including great and great-great nieces and nephews, and her dearly loved City Point Church Family.

A private funeral service will be held in Pinckneyville, IL with Jim Bob Baker officiating. A celebration of Mary Martha's life for family and friends will be held at City Point Church, Fayetteville, AR at a later date.
