Marvin Albert Weaver's Obituary
Marvin Albert Weaver, 76, of Steeleville, IL passed away on Thursday, October 30th, 2025 at Delmar Gardens, Creve Coeur, MO.
Marvin was born December 7, 1948 in Murphysboro, IL to Albert and Beulah (Mayer) Weaver. He married Paula Werner in Marissa, IL on July 18, 1970. She preceded him in death on December 19, 2019.
Marvin worked for many years as a proud farmer. In his later years he worked as a Walmart associate to keep busy. He was a long-time member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Steeleville. He enjoyed working on small engines and woodworking. He was both an avid Blues and Cardinals fan.
His favorite times were spent with family and friends, most of all his 2 grandsons. At family gatherings you could hear him carrying on with his grandsons like he was their age again, playing Monopoly, Pinnacle or Canasta.
He is survived by his daughter Miranda (Michael) Fujinaka of St. Charles, MO; sisters Sharon Rednour and Nancy (Jim) Jeffers of Steeleville, IL; brother Steven (Dorothy) Weaver of Steeleville, IL; grandchildren Christopher Fujinaka and Connor Fujinaka of St. Charles, MO; brother-in-law Curtis Werner of Marissa, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother-in-law Robert Rednour.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th, 1:00 p.m., at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Steeleville, IL, with Reverend Mark Harriss officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, November 3, 2025, where friends may call from 6:00-8:00 pm, and again on Tuesday from 12:00 -1:00 p.m., both at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
Memorials may be given to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
