Martha Jane Kiehna, age 84, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 9:12 a.m., in Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation, Pinckneyville, IL.
Martha Jane was born on April 15, 1939 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Herschel and Inez (Bird) Tanner. On November 22, 1958, she married Everette James Kiehna at First Baptist Church in Pinckneyville, IL and he survives. She worked for many years at MCA/Decca in Pinckneyville, IL. Martha Jane loved working as a caretaker and she would do anything for anyone. She enjoyed refurbishing furniture, collecting antique trinkets, and taking care of her family. Martha Jane was of the Baptist faith and was a member at Roe's Dale Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Jim Kiehna of Pinckneyville, IL; three sisters, Bessie Gant of DuQuoin, IL, Charlotte (Victor) Woodside of Pinckneyville, IL, and Ruth Wynn of Pinckneyville, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Tanner, infant brother, Charles Tanner; two brothers-in-law, Aurther Gant and Charles Wynn; niece, Martha Gant; and in-laws, August and Julia.
A funeral service will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., with Brother Ted Clark officiating. Interment will be at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
A visitation will be at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Baptist Children's Home in Carmi, IL or Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation.
