My heart-felt condolences to Rich, Rusty, and Beth. Rich and I grew up together and were a major source of laughs and anxiety for Martha, especially in the summers, as two boys with a lot of energy and an almost morbid curiosity about many things. I have nothing but good memories of Martha and it was a pleasure being her neighbor for 9.5 years. The last time I saw her, sadly, was at another funeral that I attended with my mother, about 10 years ago. Neither she nor Clay recognized me at first, but it was a really pleasant exchange after what had been probably 23 years or more. I am sure you will be comforted knowing your family in heaven has welcomed another of their flock and she is now at peace. I pray that your hearts may learn to be at peace as well.
