Martha Ann "Cookie" Campbell's Obituary
Martha Ann "Cookie" Campbell, age 66, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in her residence.
Martha was born on June 8, 1955 in Rockford, IL, a daughter to Lisle D. and Minnie Eleanor (Williams) Campbell. She had worked as a waitress and was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church in Waterloo, IL and Eastern Star. Martha enjoyed arts and crafts, making knick-knacks, needle point and crocheting. She was manager of Nice Twice. Martha loved animals and her passion was to recuse abused or abandoned cats and enjoyed helping people and she wanted to open her own no-kill shelter.
Survivors include one daughter, Marty Catterlin Macri of Pinckneyvillle, IL; one son, James Gaerte of Smithton, IL; nine grandchildren; and one unofficial adopted daughter, Jessica Holmes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and thirteen siblings.
Martha's wishes were to be cremated and will share her funeral and celebration of life with her brother, William "Bill" Lisle Campbell on the same day. Details will be announced at a later date as the family must make travel arrangements to attend their double funeral.
