Mark LeRoy Lunnemann's Obituary
Mark LeRoy Lunnemann, age 63, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 5:27 p.m., in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL.
Mark was born on August 19,1959 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to LeRoy T. and Elsie "Eleanor". He honorably served his country in the United States Army. On January 13, 1979, he married Cynthia Bird at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, IL and she survives him. In his lifetime, Mark had worked at Gilster Mary Lee, as a truck driver for Brown Brothers, a coal miner for Knighthawk, and co-owner of Triple L Guns. He was of the Catholic faith, and always enjoyed life, especially when he was hunting, fishing, messing around in the woods on his skidsteer and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mark will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Cynthia "Cindy" Lunnemann of Pinckneyville, IL; two sons, Mark L. "J.R." of Pinckneyville, IL and Chad Michael of DuQuoin, IL; one daughter, Magon Renee of Pinckneyville, IL; two sisters, Barbara Lunnemann-Sedivy and Joyce Volk; four grandchildren, Drake Ryan, Maci Renee, Brysen Lee, and Kase LeRoy; two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Kylan; his four-legged child, Peachy; and several nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norman and Verna Mae; and a brother-in-law, John Sedivy.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Carl Schrage officiating. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL with military graveside rites by Presswood-Daffron American Legion Post #2504, Pinckneyville, IL and the United States Army.
Visitation will be at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday morning at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. The rosary will be recited on Friday at 9:30 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hopewell Cemetery Association.
