Mark Allen Degenhardt, age 51, of Oakdale, IL, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 8:58 p.m. at his sister's home. in Nashville, IL. Mark was born on May 2, 1965 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to Bernard and Rose (Ledendecker) Degenhardt. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Todds Mill, IL. Mark loved to play cards, bingo, going to the casino, music, wrestling, dancing and singing. He loved spending time with his family and never met a stranger. Survivors include his mother; four sisters, JoAnn (Dennis) Buss of Nashville, IL, Connie (Bill) Heisner of Pinckneyville, IL, Linda (Norbert) Jausel of Pinckneyville, IL, Barb (Gabe) Lively of DuQuoin, IL, sister-in-law Margaret Degenhardt of Oakdale, IL; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, James and Thomas Degenhardt; one sister in infancy, Vicki Rose Degenhardt of Oakdale, IL; one great-niece, Ali Williams. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Todds Mill, IL on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Bernard Geodde officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Cemetery, Todds Mill, IL Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A prayer service will be conducted Monday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to National Association for Down Syndrome.
