It is with deepest sympathy that I send these words to you Bonnie and the kids. We are praying for your comfort that only God can give during this sad time. I count it a priviledge to have known Marion. I visited with him several times, and every minute I spent with him was a joy. He was an inspiration to me as well as all the people that he touched in his life. The smile never left his face as he dealt with the pain and inconvenience of his illness. Marion was a Godly man. I thank God that He put Marion in my life's path. It was a joy to know him.
It was my joy to get to know you too, Bonnie, on the few visits that I was able to see both of you. I will never forget your cherry pie with the tapioca filling. That pie could have been made by your daughter, I don't remember for sure. It was the best cherry pie I had ever eaten then or since.
I will never forget when Marion called the fish (trophy bass) in so I could catch a big one. He was a wonderful unselfish man.
To the entire Rushing Family,
I was sad to hear of Marion's passing. He was a great role model for me and words cannot express the gratitude I have for the opportunity to have known him. God Bless Marion and may his legacy continue through all of us.
Bonnie & all your families,
Our love, hearts, prayers, thoughts & deepest sympathy go out to you during this time of deep sorrow at losing Marion.
We have thought of you both so often; just so sorry we were unable to get down to visit with you these past years that we tried to work out a time that worked for everyone.
Know that you are dearly loved and our prayers are with you daily. May God give you the strength you need for this hour, as we know that He has continued to do that for so many years.
With many thoughts, prayers & sympathy,
Ruth Ann & Glenn Summers
