Marion Delmar Ridgeway's Obituary
Marion Delmar Ridgeway, age 86, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 11:50 p.m., in DuQuoin Nursing and Rehabilitation, DuQuoin, IL.
Marion was born on February 27, 1937, in Matthews, IL, a son to Robert Ernest and Clara Mae (Lively) Ridgeway. On June 3, 1957, he married Doris Akers in Chicago, IL and she preceded him in death on January 23, 2017. He was a member of Matthews Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL and UMWA. Marion retired as a coal miner from Consol #4 mine. He loved fishing, going to auctions, and Pinckneyville Panthers sporting events.
Survivors include two sons, Brian (Brenda) Ridgeway, of Pinckneyville, IL, and Keith (Connie) Ridgeway of Scheller, Illinois; two daughters, Phyllis Vyskocil (Todd Nass) of Big Lake, MN and Natalie Jones of Pinckneyville, IL; three sisters, June Dunmeyer, Joan Barnett, and Joann Spurlock all of DuQuoin, IL; one brother, Chuck (Dottie) Ridgeway of DuQuoin, IL; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a step-son, Doug Daniels; siblings, Mildred Eisenhauer, Barb Erdman; Wyatt Scruggs, Gene, George, Jack, and Walter Ridgeway; one son-in-law Terry Jones.
Memorial services will be held at Matthews Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
