Marilyn Sue Peradotta's Obituary
Marilyn Sue Peradotta, age 67, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 4:25 a.m., in St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL.
Marilyn was born on December 14, 1956, in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Alfred and Ella (Hoffmann) Bathon. Marilyn was a housekeeper at Manor at Mason Woods, worked in the service and factory industries and was a wonderfully talented artist. Marilyn attended Rend Lake Community College and graduated with an Associates in Arts degree specializing in graphic design. She was of the Catholic faith and was a member at St. Bruno's Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL. On March 1, 1975, she married Carl Vincent Peradotta in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Todds Mill, IL and they divorced in 1995. She was a member of the Pinckneyville Moose and Eagle lodges. Marilyn was a talented artist and excelled in oil painting, stained glass, wood burning, and drawing. She loved to restore antiques and sell her art pieces. Marilyn loved to party with her friends and frequented many a casino, often winning with her good luck. She enjoyed traveling and going to concerts, especially watching live music. She adored her grandchildren and had tons of friends. Marilyn never knew a stranger, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her father, Alfred (Doris) Bathon of Pinckneyville, IL; three children, Angelia (Neil) Brockmann of Belleville, IL, Amy Peradotta of Portland, OR, and Gino Peradotta of Portland, OR; four brothers, Billy Joe Bathon of Tamaroa, IL, Mark Bathon of Radom, IL, Roger Bathon of New Braunfels, TX, and James Bathon of Carbondale, IL; one sister, Lillian Mathis of Pinckneyville, IL; two grandchildren, Miles Hill and Olivia Brockmann; two sisters-in-law, Julia Bathon of Pinckneyville, IL, and Mary Ann Bathon of Tamaroa, IL; and one brother-in-law, Jim Przygoda of Pinckneyville, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ella Bathon; one sister, Patricia Przygoda; three brothers, Donald Bathon, Raymond Bathon, and Carl Bathon; and one brother-in-law, Mark Mathis.
Funeral services will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday, December 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., with Father Carl Schrage officiating. Interment will take place at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery, Todds Mill, IL.
Visitation will be at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m.
