Margie Irene Jones' Obituary
Margie Irene Jones, age 99, of Chandler, AZ, formerly of Nashville, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 4:02 a.m. in her home.
Margie was born on January 21, 1922 in Bluford, IL, a daughter to Lawrence and Cora (McConnaughay) Holloway. She married James Wesley Jones in Belleville, IL on April 22, 1960. He preceded her in death on October 19, 1991. Margie was a member of New Heart Fellowship Church, Beaucoup, IL and was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family especially her Great-Grandchildren.
Survivors include her five children, Jim Phelps of Camdenton, MO, Ted (Jane) Phelps of Pensacola Beach, FL, Steven (Shelly) Dunbar of San Diego, CA, Jami (Rick) Harre of Nashville, IL, and Melissa (Raul Garza) Jones of Phoenix, AZ; nine grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Victoria McDaniel; one brother, Arthur "Carrol" Holloway; one sister, Joyce Smith; two grandchildren, Jimmy Phelps Jr., and Dawn Greiser; and one great-grandchild, Macy Lynn Phelps.
Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Micky Klieboeker officiating. Interment will be at Old Concord Cemetery, Rice, IL.
Visitation will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
