Margery "Marge" Reidelberger's Obituary
Margery "Marge" Reidelberger, age 94, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 5:10 a.m. in Manor at Mason Woods, Pinckneyville, IL. Marge was born on December 23, 1919 in Ava, IL, a daughter to Jabez Newton and Edith (Stoffel) Carter. On February 23, 1939 she married Paul William Grohman in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her on death on September 11, 1940. She then married Peter J. Reidelberger on May 10, 1952 in Zion Lutheran Church, Pinckneyville, IL and he preceded her in death on April 28, 1981. Marge was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Pinckneyville, IL and was a seamstress for many years at Bridal Originals, Pinckneyville Garment Company and Forest City Manufacturing. She was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, V.F.W Ladies Auxiliary and I.L.G.W.U. Marge enjoyed sewing, embroidery, crocheting and quilting Survivors include two children, Jim (Judy) Grohman of Smiths, AL and Jane (Dennis) Fontana of Pinckneyville, IL; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ruth Carter and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands; and three brothers, Charles H. (Rosalie) Carter, Wilson W. (Ruth) Carter and Robert W. Carter Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend David Kollmeyer officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Bruno School, Celtic Hospice or Manor at Mason Woods Resident Activity Account.
