Mamie Paris' Obituary
Mamie Paris, age 87, of Desoto, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 1:45 p.m. in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Carbondale, IL. Mamie was born on July 21, 1922 in Hardin County, IL, a daughter to Frank and Ida Belle Fricker. On July 2, 1943, she married James Leonard Paris, Jr. in Hardin County, IL and he preceded her in death on August 28, 1998. She was a homemaker, member of the Lighthouse Church, Royalton, IL, enjoyed gardening and love taking care of her family. Mamie is survived by her son, James Russell Paris of Elkville, IL; daughter, Vicki Lynn Wargel of Desoto, IL; two grandchildren, Jerry Wargel of St. Peters, MO and Lori Ann (Paul) Wojtysiak of Jerseyville, IL; and one great-granddaughter, Sydney Ann Wojtysiak. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor David Betts officiating. Private interment will be in East Lawn Memorial Park, Kingsport, TN. Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, DuQuoin, IL on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
