Lynn Gerrish, age 65 of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away suddenly on December 30, 2009 at 3:31 a.m. in his home. Lynn was born on November 28, 1944 at Patoka, IL, a son to Claude Webster and Blanche (Reeves) Gerrish. He married Mary Read Obituary
Cathy I know it's been nearly 3 years since Lynn's death, but I am so sorry. He was a good man. Pinckneyville has lost a lot of good men in the last few years. Cathy

Please accept my condolences. Lynn and I were friends from the Class of '62. Whenever I would return to Pinckneyville from Florida for a visit, Lynn was the first person I would stop to see. He always had a smile and brought me up to date on our classmates. Sadly, we now have one less... and I will miss him so much.
Lynn and I have been friends since High School. We are very sorry of your loss. Lynn always asked how you were. Always had a smile and he knew everybody. Barb and I will be praying for your family. Lynn will be missed by many people.

our deepest sympathy to you and your family! Lynn was one of those people that you meet that is always interested in you,what you have been doing, have done, your kids, grandkids etc... he cut my dads hair for about 17 years and my sons and nephews hair for about that long when they would go up with grandpa for a haircut during a visit to p'ville. I worked for Lynn when I 1st got out of College, We were always playing pranks on him. I will always cherish this Christmas Eve. When I hugged him. So will my daughter. Lynn was always a great person and will always be remembered.

Cathi and Lynn's family, So very sorry and shocked to here about Lynn's passing. He was, as others have said, a Pinckneyville legend, always supporting Panther sports, always a friend to everyone. We will all miss him dearly. I always remember that my Dad spoke very highly of him and enjoyed his visits to the Lynn's shop because Lynn was much more to everyone than just their barber. Prayers are with you and the family.
