Lula Adelle Hubler's Obituary
Lula Adelle Hubler, age 101, formerly of Pinckneyville, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 4:20 a.m. at Sunrise Manor in Virden, IL. Lula was born July 7, 1906 in Swanwick, IL, a daughter of William J. and Mary Ann (Schott) Thomas. She married Henry J. Porter and he preceded her in death. She married Voyle A. Hubler on June 26, 1959 and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1985. Lula was a member of First Baptist Church in Pinckneyville. She worked in the Dietary Department at Pinckneyville Community Hospital for 22 years. Survivors include one step-son; Julius Hubler of Kenmore, NY, two nieces; Lula Rae Hempleman of Virden, IL and Gayla Smith of Pinckneyville, two nephews; Arthur and Christopher Thomas of Virden, IL, two step-grandchildren and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, one son Henry, one brother and two sisters. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
