Luetta Doelling's Obituary
Luetta Doelling, age 90, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 3:05 p.m. in her daughters' home.
Luetta was born on May 11, 1931 in Willisville, IL, a daughter to Henry Logan and Rosa Mae (Smith) Young. She was of the Baptist faith and had attended Concord Baptist Church, Rice, IL. During her lifetime, Luetta had worked at Friendship Manor, Nashville, IL and also as a live in housekeeper and caretaker for the elderly. She loved riding around looking at plants and collecting strange plants, going out to eat and most of all, taking care of her family.
Survivors include her three daughters, Karla (James) Gresham of Pinckneyville, IL, Rita Gresham of Pinckneyville, IL and Linda Craig of Valier, IL; fourteen grandchildren, many of which she raised; forty-one great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Pearl Young of Oakdale, IL; a sister, Ann Kuhnert of Oakdale, IL; several stepbrothers and stepsisters; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Larry Queen and David Queen; two grandsons, Larry Edward Musielak, Jr. and Victor Carl Leber; a great-granddaughter, Jaycee Jackson; twin great-grandsons, Bohdi and Beckett Gresham; and a brother, William Young.
A celebration of Luetta's life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
